Acid wash or power wash your pool?

It depends on how bad it is. When algae has been sitting a long time, power washing won't remove it completely, and acid washing is best. With regular pool service this never happens, but if your pool is already there, no job is too difficult.

We remove all debris, clean the baskets and pump out the water. Then we pressure wash and brush the walls and floor, spray the acid throughout, let it sit, and return with more brushing and pressure washing until all algae is gone.

Winter is tune-up time in AZ

Pool equipment takes a beating all year. In summer the pump must run daily to keep algae away, so major repairs are best done in winter: cool weather prevents algae build-up if the pump is down for a couple of days, and some parts go on sale in the winter months.

It's possible to do yourself, but we don't recommend it: the chemicals are dangerous without the right knowledge and safety gear. Hiring a professional is the better idea.
